Your Journey to Bespoke Fiber Sculpture: The Commission Process

At Crochet Art Studio, our process is structured to ensure that your vision is a faithful, enduring work of art with uncompromising quality. We partner closely with you to translate your meaningful subject into a three-dimensional legacy piece. Commission investments begin at $150 USD.

The Commission Experience

Phase I: Inquiry and Consultation

  1. Initial Request: You begin by completing our Commission Inquiry Form. Please provide high-resolution photos of your subject and any specific details you wish to capture.
  2. Quote and Contract: Our team reviews your submission. If the project aligns with the Master Artisan's specialized skillset, we issue a precise, non-negotiable invoice and a digital contract (if applicable) detailing the scope of work, timeline (6-8 weeks), and payment schedule.
  3. Minimum Price: The investment price range starts at $150. 
  4. Deposit Confirmation: The project is officially initiated upon receipt of  the required 50% non-refundable deposit and the signed contract, if applicable. This secures your place in the Artisan's queue and authorizes the beginning of the design phase.

Phase II: Design and Refinement

  1. Blueprint Creation: The Master Artisan reviews your photos and specifications to develop the detailed technical blueprint for your sculpture. This includes material selection, color matching, and structural design.

Phase III: Meticulous Handcrafting

  1. Dedicated Artistry (6–8 Weeks): This is the focused creation window. Your dedicated Artisan begins the intricate process of hand-sculpting every detail. Note: To protect the integrity of the artistic flow and quality, we limit check-ins during this highly focused creation period.
  2. Formal Final Presentation: Upon the sculpture's completion, we provide you with a photograph(s) of the finished fiber sculpture. 

Phase IV: Delivery and Legacy

  1. Settlement of Account: Following the final presentation, the remaining 50% balance is immediately due. This secures the transition of ownership and finalizes the commission.
  2. Secure Delivery: Once the account is settled, your bespoke fiber sculpture is expertly prepared, packaged and dispatched to your specified address via tracked delivery, ensuring its safe and secure arrival.
